A Magic Christmas….

The chili was cooked and sitting on the stove,

While parents and children poked in their heads looking for bowls,

The tubes were all ready and stuffed in the trucks,

And little babes were warmed with their layers of muck- a- lucks,

Some went to the hill to wear down kids

And the rest of us stayed to test what was under the lids,

We had cold cuts and vegetables and corn bread and dogs,

Caremel corn and potato salad and chips by the logs,

The camp fire warmed us, the cocoa divine…..

but the Mexican wedding cookies were mighty fine!

We gathered around and laughed the day away

bringing the magic of christmas to be revived for another day.

We hugged and giggled and filled our bellies

To be together again for the magic of the Holidays.

Merry Christmas everyone!!!!

Happy Holidays
